PC Version, upgraded on prompt this morning, now get above message, so can't sync.
Uninstalled and tried to find Version 6.0 on site - clicked on prior versions, but only takes to new version.

Just found Softonic download of version 6 and I am back where I was before the "upgrade"! Be sure to uninstall version 7 first and also be careful when going through the Softonic download - they provide 2 "adders" that I chose NOT to do. Good luck!

This solution works perfectly for me too with BB curve 8250. Will not be going anywhere near Desktop 7 until RIM announces a fix. I just wasted half a day of my life trying to recover from V7.

here's v6.1 on BB website - just follow link from other discussion topic below and then onwards to download libnk which will auto update to 6.1 (for now anyway):

i'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH VERSION 7 ON MY BB9900 IT HANGS ON PREPARING TO SYNC......WHAT IS BB DOING ABOUT THIS STUFF UP.........I LIKE THE PRODUCT BUT EVERYTIME WE UPGRADE WE HAVE DISASTERS I'M NOW LEANING TOWARDS THE i-phone !!!!!
