New 'upgrade' means I can't sync at all

The new 'upgrade' to the BlackBerry Desktop Software means that I simply can't sync my BlackBerry with Outlook any more.  I choose Outlook rather than the other option as my 'profile' (whatever that means), and it all goes through the motions of sync-ing, then right at the end says 'preparing sync preview' and just hangs at that point. This is going to render my BlackBerry basically useless except as a phone. Am I alone? Help!

I'd guess that you already found it but if not, suggest you look at the "Preparing Sync Preview freeze" thread. Don't worry, you're not alone. There must be thousands of BB owners in the quagmire right now. What is RIM doing about it?
