Re: No Maps or Password Keeper after installing bundle 7.1 on my 9900

Well that was a mission, but finally got there!!! What i dont understand however, is that i did actually do this option earlier today after reading it on another forum and it DID NOT work!!! I was also about to reply stating this. However, with nothing to loose i tried again and it DID work!!! Don't know why, and at this point don't care!!! The data in the password keeper was gone, but was able to retore it from a previous backup:-)))) Happy again, but i must repeat that this is a pretty poor show from RIM to put its customers in this position.

Thanks for everyones help though.

Allytalia

PS, still prefer BB to the Iphone! Hahahaha

Connect to your Desktop Software and the BlackBerry to the USB cable to the PC.

Click on the Applications link and you should be able to scroll down to the Password Keeper and reinstall it.

If not, what do you see on that screen in the Desktop Software?

Re: No Maps or Password Keeper after installing bundle 7.1 on my 9900

Thanks. I only see a summary of my BB like Agenda, Contacts and Media. When I click on Applications I only see WhatsApp and it gives me the option to de-install. Do not see any other option

Re: No Maps or Password Keeper after installing bundle 7.1 on my 9900

Go to the Vodafone website and download the exact same OS as on your BlackBerry to your PC.

Download and install it to your PC.

if you need help wit that...

  • What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > Device > About, third line down beginning with a "v.7.1.x.xxx", What is yours?
  • What Vodafone carrier are you on... UK, DE, ZA, what?

Re: No Maps or Password Keeper after installing bundle 7.1 on my 9900

ok, you have v7.1.0.714 installed.

if you go to this link, select the 9900 model.

https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=72DA7FD6D1302C0A159F6436D01E9EB0

download the first version for .714

After the download, extract and install the OS file by double clicking on it.

Then, reboot your PC.

Now, connect your 9900 to the PC and run the Desktop Software, and choose Applications and you should see the OS installed on your device, and Password Keeper should be listed as uninstalled and you can click the small + to install it.
