Re: No email icon on 8320

I go to: setup wizard> email setup> and I get the following options: 1. I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server. 2. I want to skip email setup

Re: No email icon on 8320

And you don't have the icon that says "personal email setup'?

How did you set it up when you first got it?  Did you select BIS or BES?

Re: No email icon on 8320

I do not have that icon. When i purchased the phone used, I deleted the email address that was on it (the email from the previous owner), and never had the option to setup anything other than BES. The account that was set up from the previous owner was BIS.

Re: No email icon on 8320

Hi,

Would you like to stay setup as BES or would you prefer to be BIS?

Thanks,

Re: No email icon on 8320

I would like to setup my personal email, so it should be BIS, right?

Hi,

Hopefully there are no IT policies left on the phone, We'll find out in a minute.

Go to OPTIONS, ADVANCE OPTIONS- HOSET ROUTING TABLES hit enter, menu key REGISTER NOW

Since you don't have an email account, you won't receive a confirmation email.

Wait about 15 minuses.

Please try the following

Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute,

Let the device reboot 1-3 min,

See if your setup wizard  icon is pushed out to your screen.

Please let us know,

Thanks

I followed your intstructions: hosting tables - register, and battery pull. I let the phone reboot and it came to the home screen.

Setup was not forced to the homescreen, but I have the option in my app list.

Re: No email icon on 8320

Unfortunately, as you have no email, you have no log in to your BIS site,

Please call you carrier and as them to resend the service books for your device,

I wish we could do more,

Let's resolve this post, and reopen one when you get the wizard, and we will assist you from there.

Thanks
