Just installed the new Desktop Manager update and there are NO personal email options...none at all...anywhere! What the heck is going on? Desktop options include only "General" and "Bluetooth". Device Options only has Enterprise Email. Where the heck are the personal email options? Am I missing something. I've check under every drop-down.

I've never tried to configure BIS email via DTM, but what you describe for the device interface indicates the following. To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.

The old Desktop Manager had email options. This one does not, as far as I can tell. I've had my Bold for almost two years, and have a data plan through Verizon. The problem is with the DTM, not my provider; I have a Blackberry Data plan and always have. I just want to change my signature, but there is not an option to do that on my phone as far as I can tell. I've gone into the options menu...not there. I've gone into email set-up...not there. Not in the DTM. I can't find it anywhere. I keep thinking that I'm missing something, but I've changed the signature in the past, but there seems to be no way to do it now. My email is directly connected to my email server, so there is not an option there.

I have no email options at all (not on my phone or in Desktop Manager), except enterprise, since I upgraded to Blackberry Desktop Manager 6 (now called "Blackberry Desktop Software"). Do you suggest I remove my email account from my phone and start from scratch? I don't want to mess that up.

Try these steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
1) Register HRT
2) Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS conduits for the affected email accounts...which will require the use of the VZW BIS website rather than the device interface.

I get a message, when I enter the information, that my account is not accessible through the web browser. I also re-registered my email account (there was no option to ask to resend service books), did a battery pull (which I actually do all the time because I change batteries), to no effect. I'm confused. In the past, I had the Tour. I could change the email signature through the old DTM, but there is no option to do that with the new version. I've done what everyone suggested so far, to no avaial. Still no option on my phone and no other option I can find.

I have the Bold running 5.0. My carrier is Verizon Wireless. Previously, until about two months ago, I had the Tour (so I've been a BB owner for a little more than a year). I don't have BES - it's not a business phone. My email connects directly to my server, which happens to be RCN.
Last time I changed my signature, it was on the Tour. I can't remember whether I used the phone or DTM. Now, it's not possible to change the signature at all...not on the phone, and not on DTM. There are no email options at all in the newest version of DTM.
