None of my internet services work

I've had my curve 8900 since april now, never had any problems with it

untill a few days ago my internet stopped working, but my EDGE sign was still in capital letters so I called my provider they said everything was ok.

Then I tought maybe I did something wrong so I restored to the latest back up I had of my phone, I should've never done that because now my bbm and others apps don't even work on wi-fi.

Also now I in my browser I can't select my internet browser either.

its only hotspot browser or orange world. I was told I had to call my provider and have them send me the service book again. but so far none of these operaters have ever heard of it , I tried to get my service book trough my email setting but that didn't change anything so I seriously doubt that got send, because nothing in the service book changed and when I compare it to other peoples bb's something is missing still.

I have no idea what to do anymore, if somebody could help me out I would def appreciate it

Re: None of my internet services work

Hi there!

I suggest the following steps:

1) Register HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > BBKey (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now

2) Resend Service Books

  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service

3) Batt Pull Reboot

  • Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

Re: None of my internet services work

Don’t try phoning Blackberry we have two of these totally C**p phones. The call center put the phone down on me.

I will be doing the exact opposite and cost them as many sales as I can.

How can I have new faulty phone and be told I have to pay for support – no way. I will go and buy another make.

Re: None of my internet services work

lol, yea, try calling Nokia or Samsung Smiley Very Happy

FYI -- Your carrier, to whom you pay your bill -- renders your first line of customer support and technical assistance. That is, of course, if you actually place a call to them. By contract, the carriers provide this service on the front line. If they cannot answer your needs, they will offer or you will ask, to be bumped up to RIM technical support.

There you go. No pay.

Re: None of my internet services work

I am also connected to orange in a way. I am on t-mobile which is with EE. I am having the exact same problem. I cannot use my BBM, Twitter, App World, Facebool or Whatsapp yet I am connected to wi-fi and I have over £8 credit on my phone. When I disconnect from wi-fi all I have is 3G which doesn't allow me to use anything but my texts. Yesterday I had £10 credit and since I topped my phone up I have been unable to use it. I have lost over £2 credit for not even using my phone and whenever I have used the EE and T-Mobile help&support sections on the websites I have not found any help. To speak to an advisor it will charge 25p per minute and since I have already lost credit I feel like I do not know if I want to ring them. If you have fixed your problem please let me know Smiley Happy
