Not able to send\receive email on my new Blackberry Bold - Help???

I've just received my new Company Blackberry Bold today, my exchange administrator at work activated the blackberry on the BES Server.......and he confirmed that it was activated.

 

I've just got home and tried to send an email, but it just sits there and doesn't want to send, I've just had a phone call from my manager who's asked me to read an email he just sent me............but I haven't received the email......

 

I'm on Vodafone and checking in the manual, I've discovered that for me to send and receive email, I must have 3G (and the blackberry dots icon), however all that's displayed on my phone is the 3g symbol (full signal)

 

Does this mean that my sim card hasn't been data enabled???

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Go to Connections, Mobile data services, make sure Data service is ON. Make sure your Mobile network shows your provider.

Then scroll to services status make sure you are connected.

If all is in order

1) Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed,

 

2) If not resolved go to Mobile Network options, menu key,  diagnostics test, and contact your IT personnel.

Thanks for your reply, under Services Status its showing:-

 

Mobile Voice

Status: available

Connection: Mobile Network

 

Blackberry Internet Service

Connection: not connected

 

Blackberry Enterprise Server

Connection: not connected

 

Mobile Network

3g

 

Mobile Network Provider

vodafone UK

unable to run diags test, it shows:-

Just tried it for the second time and its now allowed me to run the diags test..........this is what's its showing:-

Radio Data Activation: No

Signal Level: Unknown

Radio Access: Unknown

Network: Unknown

IP Address: Unknown

Blackberry Registration: No

Connected to blackberry: No

Blackberry PIN-PIN: No

 I take it that this isn't right? has something gone wrong with the initial activation??

You are not connected at all,

You need to have this phone set up for data services before you can do anything with it.

Did you get it from the carrier or did your administrator?
