Not receiving emails

Hello there,

 

This is my first time asking a question. I really didn't want to, especially that I'm not even sure I am going to be posting this where it will be seen or replied to, but having read and tried all the advices given here, it still doesn't work. Here is what I have done so far:

- Took battery and sim card out - put it back in: nothing

- Checked my connections - all on

- Registered my handheld with the wireless network 3 times (that worked but I'm STILL not receiving emails).

- deleted my email address from my blackberry and try to re-enter it but now my phone says that this email address is not valid so it seems that I can't even have my chosen email adress on my phone anymore!!

 

I think that what the problem is is that my email provider (ntlworld) wants me to change my password every 72 days. I do that and then forget my new password so I have to ask them to send me a temporary one. I just keep forgetting my ntlworld passwords and I have created hundreds now so I am totally confused with which one to use. Yes I know... but I have memory problems and password are ruining my life. I can't jolly well write all them down for safety reason, so I just forget them instead.

 

When the password is changed on my PC it doesn't get changed on my device because I just don't know how to do that. (although I found a way to do just that this morning but the phone kept saying the password is invalid even though I know I entered the correct one - having just changed it on PC and having it "fresh" in my mind).

 

It's driving me insane and I just don't know what to do anymore. I NEED my emails as this is the way I get work offers and I don't own a computer. This is a complete nightmare. Please can anyone help??? I have a blackberry curve 9320.

First, welcome to the Support Forums.

 

To me, it really sounds like you need to get the assistance of your email provider to get control of your email account password and regardless then WRITE down that password even if you have been told otherwise to overcome your self stated memory problem.
