Nuked BlackBerry - anyone to help

My other BB takes forver to startup. So I have been trying to reload OS.

I have installed the desktop software 7.1 and phone's OS. When I try to reload the OS, I follow all the prompts till the process reaches where I select the system software and apps to install. Then "load JVM szstem software" completes and while waiting for the device to initialise (reconnecting to JVM fails. This is done without a battery.
When I try with a battery, the device is not detect by the PC.

From your description, I cannot quite tell if you are exactly following these recommended methods:

 

Do keep in mind, of course, that if the problem is hardware, then nothing at an internet-distance will be of any use.
