Number of rings???

Nowhere can I findf any mention of how you set the number of rings... I need my blackberry to wake me up for emergencies, and my old curve I could set it to 3 rings per email. Where has this option gone?

Surely there is a way to set that.

I posted on crackberry but just got one other person with the same problem.

Re: Number of rings???

You might want to find a loud and multiple-ring ringtone or notification sound, AND set a specific sound for the email address FROM which those emergency alerts to come to your device.

My guess? Because most people don't want a notification to constantly ring.

You can get BB Alerts for constant notification, or you can always get a ringtone that is longer and includes a series of beeps or whatever, and set that ringtone for only that contact (who sends you the emergency notifications). One idea.

Re: Number of rings???

Another option is to get BerryBuzz and set that up to use the "Reminder" Alerts.  So if you miss the first alert it will remind you every "X" seconds.  It works great!
