Did you get this update from your wireless service provider or did you install this from another carrer? Many carriers don't yet support OS6 so you won't get the proper browser service books.
If you have another BB device on the same network with an older OS then you can back up those service books and restore them to the OS6 device. If you don't have another working BB device you may need to downgrade your OS, backup the service books, then re-upgrade to OS 6 and then restore the service books.
To back up service books, go to the Service Books in Options and type alt + s b e b. You'll get a message that says "Legacy SB Restore enabled." Then make the backup using DM. You can backup just the service books or make a full backup. Then do the same thing on the upgraded device to restore the service books.

I also encounter browsing issues on OS 6 in Torch (few of my friends also encounter this after they upgraded to OS 6).
Most of the time, the browser prompts "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. Of the problem persists please contact your service provider." But it do works sometimes after restarting or resetting the device.
I noticed that there are two (2) service books for the BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service:
I have an idea on what the first service book does, but what does the latter do? how does it differ from the first service book?
I am always able to browse the Internet after deleting the second service book.
But I also noticed that once I delete the service book 2, I can't do search (Google/Wiki, etc) directly from the URL textfield anymore. Only URL is allowed as pressing the SPACE automatically adds a period on the textfield, and search options drop-down is now missing. (So I guess the service book 2 has something to do with Google search feature on the browser)
But is there another way/solution that does not require restarting/resetting the device or deleting that second service book?

I got the exact same problem as papdoligosa :
1. I cant seem to browse w/o deleting bbis 2
2. After deleting bbis 2 i can do browse but i cant do autosearch
3.After a while bbis 2 always comes back so i gotta delete it all over again...
Frankly it kinda annoying..please help what the hell is going on in here?
Is it a bug from os 6?but if its a bug why not everybody in os 6 experienced it?

I have a Torch 9800 running OS 22.214.171.1240.
I am also having the same issue as papdoligosa and szq.
When I use 3UK's site the browser drops the BlackBerry icon in the top right and switches to WAP and I can browse all of their pages fine.
Then when I come out of their WAP portal and try to switch to a regular site sometimes it works and sometimes it does not (mostly not),
But, when I delete the 2nd browser service book (UID: G BIBS CID: Browser Config Description: Internet Browser 2) it works fine for all web pages.
I have also noticed if I delete this service book, I then cannot log in to App world.
I can see all the app catagories on the home screen but not access the "My World" page.
The browser works 100% of the time with the service book deleted,
Is their any way to get an updated service book or are RIM planning an update for this?
I have tried several different OS's and wiped the phone and restored many times.
I have logged into my BIS and sent the service books a few times, and always after updating the OS.
I have also tried other carriers OS's that are later versions than the one offered by 3UK.
I know 3UK must have the right service books as they carry the torch,
Any help with this appreciated.
