I bought a 9850 through verizon over amazon. When i connected the phone to an older version of desktop manager the phone was recognized as a 9750.
That would be a highly unusual circumstance, indicating thet something is very wrong with this device...perhaps illegally cloned a particular model inside of a different models case. Very strange indeed. Then again, I'd be interested to know exactly how this recognition was presented to you within the Desktop Software. Further, what the device itself reports on this screen would be worth also checking:
Was on a call and after and i realised the phone shut down. Restarted it and the os was taking too long to load i removed the battery and and tried it again but the phone wouldnt come on. I removed the battery again and tried connecting it back to the same pc. Pc does not connect to the device nor does the red light come on. What should i do next.
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Good luck and let us know!
