Orange Haven't set up my BlackBerry Curve 9320

I recently purchased a new Blackberry curve 9320, well I bought it 2 weeks ago. I purchased it from an EE store in The Mall Bristol. Its Pay as you go, and I was an exsisting customer, I also kept my Orange Dolphin Package which gives me internet and texts every month.

The guy in the shop told me that internet and BBM will work as soon as I text EMAIL to 247. Therefore, I did that, but nothing happened the rest of that evening. Even though I kept asking him to re assure me more than 5 times..... that it would work and all I got was YES...

I decided to call up Orange customer service to see if I could set it all up that way. Basically since the time I bought the phone, I have been calling them near enough everyday. No one is setting up my internet, No one is sending me the £5 text message confirming I have bbm and blackberry internet. They always tell me its a fault with Blackberry as sooooo many people are buying them, then in the next breath, someone else tells me its all fixed and 'I can assure you it will be working by midnight'. Well its now been 2 weeks, and 12 calls to orange customer service, and I havent been set up with anything. Its taking my credit, which two people have said they would re-fund, but Im still waiting for that.... and Ive called 2 orange reps today and both cut me off so I am more than pissed off with this.


I was wondering if anyone could guide me into any direction to help me sort this out.

I called the store I purchased it from, but they gave me the rubbish that as they are not orange anymore, they cant deal with it. I have also contacted other stores in the area, and I keep getting re-directed to orange 450...... Do Orange even have a simple telephone number or email which people can contact rather than going to 450....eurg!!!!


All I have now been told is that people have been waiting up to 1 month to be connected, and my reply was, 'Put it this way, Im not waiting 1 month for nothing'. It would be a bit **bleep** if I needed this stupid phone for a business wouldn't it.....


Anyway, I hope someone can help. As I am off to visit the LOVELY Orange shop in Bristol to shout at them in order to get their butts in gear and set up this stupid phone before I throw it and its worth nothing. LOL.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Unfortunately, only Orange can resolve this...all services are delivered to end users by the carriers...RIM delivers nothing direct to end users for your primary services. But, if Orange cannot figure it out, they do have the ability to escalate into RIM for enhanced support...perhaps you should be requesting that they do so.
