Outlook / Vodafone BIS email sync issue

Hello All,

 

We are running a Torch with Outlook 2003 (exchange) on vodafone BIS and have an email sync issue

 

Currently the situation is...

 

Read email in outlook - doesnt mark as read on handset

Read email on handset - marks as read on outlook

Mark email unread on handset - marks email unread in outlook

 

So the only part of the sync not working is the reading of an email in outlook and then not updating on the handset.

 

Is this a limitation of BIS, is there any way around this or are we looking at more money per month just to use BES (express).

Email reconciliation from Mailbox to handheld on BlackBerry Internet Service email accounts take up to 6 hours to complete.

Have you confirmed that the reconciliation still does not occur after waiting this period of time?

Hello, thanks for your reply

 

Yes we have left the device for the weekend without reading any messages on the phone, just in outlook and the nothing on the device updates as read

 

Ive got a feeling we need to go to a full bes setup!

Hi,

 

I am too facing the same issue with Respect to Blackberry Sync using BIS

 

If I am replying or reading the mail from blackberry, the status gets changed at my outlook but if I change anything at outlook, it does not reflect on blackberry.

 

any solution please help..
