How can I download Desktop Manager on PC?
When I connect USB it asks me for password. The Blackberry PIN doesn't work and none of my usual passwords. The password in my settings that allows me to come to this forum, doesn't work.
How can I set-up a password to use USB?

I am facing the same problem.
I have installed the Desktop Software in order to make a Security Copy.
It has asked me about a password too.
In the first moment, I have thought it were the code to block the keyword (It was the PIN number also in my case) but did not work.
I have also triyed with all the passwords I know related to my email account or to my work, but any of them does not worked either.
Now it tells me that there is just a last chance and in the case it will fail again the terminal will delate all the files in.
I really do not know what to do, as I need urgently the contact details that are inside the terminal, and there is no Security Copy (This is what I was trying to do..!)
About the solution: Are you saying that, it is the desktop, the one which ask for a password? Which desktop? The one of the computer or the Desktop Software.
If you are talking about the computer one: I have triyed in some other computers with the same results. Even changing the SIM card.
If you are talking about the Desktop Software: Which password is it asking me about? I have not settled anyone, and my Informatic department does not knows which password is it askig about,, and the telephone company either...
They say this is a personal password settled by the user in this concrete terminal, but the terminal was not used by no one before and as I have already said, we have not settled any password for it...
Can anybody help me as soon as possible?
Thanks in advance

If you have a password set on your phone that you have to enter to use it then Desktop Manager will ask for this password.
Sometimes, when creating a password on their phone, people forget to press the ALT key when entering passwords. So if you have a password of 1234, they may only press the ALT key on the first number so their password is actually 1-e-r-s rather than 1234.

Thank yiou very much for the promt reply.
As far as I know, we do not have any pasword settled on on this terminal that we have to enter to use it then with the Desktop Manager. This was the first time to connect this phone with this Desktop manager (Even the software were just installed, some minutes ago) and in this computer.
Yes, we know this is a usual mistake. But we are entering the password with the computers keyword, and not with the cell.
Actually we have two main maters:
1) As we have not crated any password, we have really no idea about what code or word is it telling about
2) Even if we could finally know what is it asking about, or if we wanted to try some more combinations with or without ALT pressing, we have just one more try, so we can not afford try once and fail as it will supose the complete falies delation.
Is there any way to recover the files, or anulate this password, or take more chances, or at least save a copy somehow?
Thanks in advance

Aha, I have just understand you, you mean this four cifres code to unlock the keyword.
Yes, we have it, and we have entered it without problem, is after this, the the terminal asked us about this password (And more over, it changes the code to introduce letters and no cifres)

I'm afraid I have no idea what cifres are?
But.... the password you use to unlock your handset is the password that Blackberry Desktop Manager is asking for. Blackberry Desktop Manager needs to "unlock" your handset in order to sync data or backup it up.

Sorry, cifres means numbers instead of letters as caracters to write something.
It will be very nice if it will be like this, but we have tryed this morning, and as I have already tell, it was after introducing this code and already unlock the handset, when they asked about a password.
The first time it happend, was when connecting the Blackberry to the Desktop Manager. As it failed, we changed the SIM, and the realized that the problem persisted:
We unlocked the pad with this code you told us (In our case the PIN code numer, the keyword unloked without problem and in this moment the Blackberry asked us again for this Password (And in this moment it was not even conected to the Desktopo Manager, it was just in my hands) and there was no further way to access to the cell or to connect it to the Desktop Manager or to do nothing as all the way is asking us for this Password.
Any way I will be very happy to try again and discover that I was wrong, and it works just introducing this PIN code, but I am affraid to try this last time and delete it all...
There is sure no way to just erase this Password or to access to the Contacts file from another way?
