Hi and welcome to the forums!
Do you mean that the when connected by the USB the BB is not recognized in My Computer?
You should see the media and device memory as flash drives.
Try it without desktop manager or Roxio running, and let me know.
Oh one more thing, was it ever correctly recognized, or is this new?

I have used it before, and my computer seen it just fine......so no this isn't the first time trying to use it.
I have tried it without the desktop manager and roxio not running.
Also, when BB desktop is opened, it doesn't show that my storm is connected.
I have .99

Do you have auto update turned on in Windows?
Sometimes service packs and service loads can not install the correct drivers.
1) Power the PC off and then on so it boots cleanly
2) Plug the USB cable into the BB and into the PC
3) Run Windows Update on the PC
4) Windows should find the correct driver for the BB and install it.
5) Disconnect the BB and reboot.
6) Connect the BB, open My Computer and the media card should
be reflected as a removable drive.
Let us know how it goes!

This could be described as a bug of sorts, I had the same issue after I tried to drag and drop move some files from the internal memory to the storage card in windows explorer. I kept troubleshooting for a long time and finally figured out what it was when I removed the storage card and tried to read it directly in my PC card read and it told me it was corrupt.
After that I put the card back into the BB and it told me there was an error with it, and then I did a reformat of the card. I've had no problems since. The other symptom is that the "media" application would sit there with the status bar saying it was updating and never finish, this is in addition to the PC never being able to recognize the storm at all.
To diagnose, try removing the media card and plug your BB into your PC without it.

Good Point, Lingmann!
If he can get the media card to a card reader, and view it, then he has another option.
Backup the data, then right click on the media card, select properties, tools, error checking.
that would either repair the card, or confirm it's "toast".
