Ok, first of all, breathe.  This is fixable.

 

Follow the instructions found HERE.  This will help you install a new OS on your device.  Unfortunately the OS version listed here (4.5) has been pulled, so install the latest 4.3 OS instead.  Follow the instructions here exactly and you will be fine.

i keep the desktop manager that is the 4.2srv2 right?  then do i change the the handheld to the one you had there?  what is OS?

As long as Desktop Manager shows connected when you connect your device to you PC, then you can use the version you have.

 

What carrier are you using?

at t and is says disconnected. why?what do i do about that?  no matter what i have only seen disabled once.

Then you may need to install a newer version of Desktop Manager.  I had that issue with an older Desktop Manager version not recognizing a newer BlackBerry device.  Once I installed the newer Desktop Manager then it worked fine.

 

I'd recommend version 4.6.

Hi everyone! I'm having the same problem with my pearl 8100. I'm pretty sure that is because I installed a 1Gb memory card. Sometimes it works with the card in, but it's always working when I take it out.

 

First time when I installed it, was alright, I loaded lots of music and everything was still right, but suddently the white screen with the "app error 523" appeared, and only could reset... Suddently again, it worked, but I turned of the mobile, and it happened again... with no sense... Now I took out the memory card and works perfectly...

 

Does it make sense? Can I do anything to avoid this problem using the 1GB card?
