Password Attempts Failed

Hi,

 

My friend was playing with my Blackberry and she guessed 10

wrong passwords and now my phone is totally blank. It keeps

returning to a blank white page it says: JUM ERROR 513 Reset

and I took out my battery etc. How do I get this to go back to

normal? Please help. Thank you.

Hi, I'm afraid your handheld has been wiped clean. Try doing a data restore via your desktop manager. Hope you have done a backup recently. Please read the following documents about the password issue.

I haven't installed the Blackberry Desktop thing, if I install it

now do you think I will be able to reset my Blackberry and

use it tonight? Because it was failed 10 times.

Yes, just follow the instructions to have the BB device software re-installed and you should be able to use the device. If no backup had been done, then you won't be able to restore your data.

 

Personally, I wouldn't allow others to fiddle around with my BB.

Hi, sorry to bother you again...

 

But my phone is still stuck on that white screen so

I downloaded that BB thing from the CD I got with

my phone and it's plugged into the computer but

it says nothing is plugged in because my phone

is still on that white screen that says error.

Hey xo_b3b3_xo,

 

you can try reloading the device software via WEBSL http://na.blackberry.com/eng/update/ I have never tried WEBSL on a device that was wiped in this manner but you can always give it a try.

I'm not sure but you might want to try connecting your device to another USB port. I usually start the desktop manager up before connecting my device. Don't forget to configure your desktop manager. My advice is to read the BB user manual.

 

If this doesn't work, hopefully someone with better technical knowledge can help.
