Password lock out

I am locked out of my blackberry.  I used it earlier this morining and then went back to use it again and my password would not let me in.  I am up to my 9th try and it says it will wipe my phone if I enter in one more wrong password.  It would be devastating if my phone was wiped as I have not been able to back it up due to a computer crash that took several weeks to fix.  How do I bypass the password without wiping my phone?  I have the blackberry software on my computer, but its asking me for the password as well.  My phone is a blackberry curve 8330.

Lee, there is no workaround on a password... you can not bypass it. What would be the point of the password if you could?


You likely THINK you have an uppecase character or numeral in our password, when in reality, you don't.


So if your password were "123t"


It could actually be "wert"


But you are SO close to the end of the chances, you gotta get it right. I see this problem asked daily where a user thinks the password is one thing, and it is another.

Once you are on the 9th attempt that's it no more turning back you will have to remember your password else your device will be wiped.

Just thought of something hereMan Happy  if your device is used for work purpose you can always ask your administrator to send you a device password before you even get to ten attempts.

I am going to have to say that you must be an accountant by trade because what you have provided might have some benefit, but it has no use whatsover to us..

More information will be needed before making suggestions. Please provide the following

Blackberry Model

Carrier Name

Do you have a Data Plan?

Geographical location

Operating System Version Menu > Options > About - looks like v5.0.0.681

Any error statement or code

Exact nature of problem - the more info the better

Has BB being damaged

Has it been exposed to dirt or moisture - details please.

When this started and whether it started just after an update or new App download and which App or download
