Re: Pearl 8100 Delete Prompt Issues

When I orginally did the security wipe on the device, does that not end up clearing the service books by default?

When I did the security wipe to clean out the device completely, I had to reactivate the handheld as a result, which then repushed the service books. I did verify that wireless sync was set on along with the other options around deletes.

Re: Pearl 8100 Delete Prompt Issues

BBSingh, you are a lifesaver!  I could not figure out how to change the setting on my Pearl that prompted me as to whether I wanted to delete on both the handheld and the mailbox.  I would go to press "delete on handheld only" and the trackball would slip and delete on both.  Of course, it was ALWAYS the most important emails with information from clients that would get wiped out.  And the deleted email never showed up in my mailbox deleted items box so I could restore it. After I read your email to this poster I fixed the problem in a few seconds.  Now my Pearl is set to ONLY delete on handheld, so no more accidents.  Maybe I can learn to live with this darn Blackberry after all! Thank you again.

Re: Pearl 8100 Delete Prompt Issues

I finally resolved the issue by doing a complete wipe of the Pearl device, blew away the user account in the BES and recreated the user and did the Enterprise Activation again.

Now the delete options are available for the user when they delete a message.

Thanks for your all your suggestions!
