Phone Communicating with Automated Log in Services

I was trying to log into a conference call and the automated system asks for a conference call number, I had no problem and then it asked for a PIN with a # sign at the end of the PIN.  It would not recoginze the # sign and would continuously kick me off the system.  I was using the "silver" shift key and hitting the "Q" button, but even on my phone, it came up as a "Q".  What am I doing wrong?

Re: Phone Communicating with Automated Log in Services

Don't press the SHIFT or ALT key to enter the # symbol... just press the Q/# and will enter and make the tone needed. I use it everyday on mine.
