Phone will not power on...completely charged...I thought anyway

So I charged my phone today.  It was 3/4 when I plugged it in, then it was 100% when I unplugged it.  I pressed the "hold" button and put the phone in my purse for the rest of the day.  Now I take it out, it will not come on, and even if I plug it in I just get a steady red light.  I took out the battery and sim card and put them back, no joy.  FOUR EFFIN days after the 30 day return policy.  I am not happy at all.  Tech support at AT&T says I have to go to the store so they can see what is wrong with it.  Already agreed to 2-year contract with this new piece of **bleep**!  Has this happened to anyone else?

Relax.  Take it in.  They will replace it if necessary.

This isn't something I've heard of on the Torch.

Re: Phone will not power on...completely charged...I thought anyway

Thanks for the comment....As a follow up I was able to find a different number and a very friendly AT&T Blackberry specialist.  He got me all hooked up, but now I have another problem as a result of reloading the OS....

I had some excel files that I had downloaded from an email on my BB.  Now the files cannot be displayed.  I deleted them and resent myself the emails with the attachments and tried to download them again and cannot do it.  The phone is back to it's original settings, and I never had really made any changes to it to start out with.  So anyway, why can't I get the files back?
