Hey, it worked! Thanks a lot! But am just wondering what caused that? Did I do anything wrong in the process of taking the pic and saving it? If I did, then I would like to know so I can avoid repeating it.

You did not make wrong steps.
It is device software issue.
And battery pull just made the "cold reset" of device software (operating system).
To avoid this in future try to update your device software.
You can update device os online.
Connect your device via USB-cable to the computer.
Launch Internet Explorer
Open this address: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/devices/
Click on "Update Now" button
