Picture library incomplete thumbnail display

I've copied a load of pictures from my laptop to my memory card, but when I've put it in the phone (Bold 9780) the new pictures don't display in the pictures app.
Could this be due to the thumbnail file (assume BBThumbs.dat) in the folder still only has the data for the files that were taken direct on the phone? If so, how can I force the system to rebuild it.
If not, how can I effectively make the phone re-scan the folder to rebuild the library and show everything?

Re: Picture library incomplete thumbnail display

Normally, if you Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot, the device will rescan and rebuild thumbnails and cache.

Try that again if you have already.
