Re: Pin - Pin : NO

Is your PIN showing with your carrier as disabled?

Call them and ask.

Re: Pin - Pin : NO

thank you for your reply

My carrier is saying that everything looks fine from its end and the max they can do is to file a case with RIM.

Re: Pin - Pin : NO

And... you have tried a simple battery pull reboot?

With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Re: Pin - Pin : NO

You can test the PIN to PIN by sending a message to yourself.  Just compose a new message and select compose PIN. Put your PIN number in and click send. Did you get the message, if not then I would check the Carrier side or if you are connected to a BES then ask the BES admin to see if an IT policy to restrict PIN to PIN has been enabled. The policy can restrict all PIN to PIN or PIN to external or vice versa.

Re: Pin - Pin : NO

If you have a friend that has a bb then you can put your sim card in his phone and see if you can send a message. If that works then your device has an issue.

Have you upgraded to a Beta OS from a carrier that is not from ATT?

I had a beta update break my tethering because the beta was from another carrier than ATT.

Huh? No carriers issues Beta OS releases, so none of them will be from ATT (or any carrier). Betas are unbranded.
