Before i get into any details of the problem, here's a break down of my specs
Using Torch on OS 6 (v188.8.131.52, platform 184.108.40.206)
on Fido (Canada)
I just formatted & reset this phone so there's no apps
there's about 310 mB left
My problem is I can't seem to get my computer to detect my torch!!! I've tried on my Windows 7 desktop AND my windows XP netbook...at first both computers asked me to install the "blackberry usb drivers" to detect the torch... installed it, but it still couldn't detect the unit. After, i unstalled Deskop Software 6.0... still getting nothing..
I have reseted both computers numerous times...tried a battery pull... but the strange thing is when i connect the usb cable to the torch, it DOES charge... so i'm thinking it isn't so much a cable problem..
would it be a settings problem? Any help would be MUCH appreciated, thanks!

Thank you Simon! I have googled for hours trying to fix the same problem with my new Torch and tried numerous "solutions". Your link finally directed me to the solution. I bought an extra wall charger and was trying to sync the phone with the USB charger that came with that. One of the solutions on your link was that the USB was only for charging and when I looked on the USB there was a little tag that said "for charging only". Hope this helps others!
