Hi and Welcome to the Community!
You've got two completely separate problems there...so...
I just bought a bb 9780 OS 6. I am trying to reinstall the os via desktop manager but it is not showing the downgrade option.
First, a "resintall" would preclude a "downgrade" would it not? Reinstall implies installing the exact same version that is presently running on the BB.
Further, depending on the method you are using, your recovery may be different. If you have only the Desktop Software installed to your PC and not any OS packages, then the Desktop Software seeks out what your carreir has specifically authorized at this time, and only offers those. Alternatively, if you do have an OS package installed to your PC, then having that installed to your PC may be confusing the Desktop Software, preventing it from offerring what you desire.
You can, fortunately, specifically control this, by actually skipping the Desktop Manager...here's how...
At the top of each device forum, there should be some "sticky" threads that discuss the OS levels available for many models. If they include your model, then please use those as reference as you proceed. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the official download portal for OS packages for your model:
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
I am unable to setup my gmail on this device as it takes me to the enterprise email activation and there is no other option.
This is a function of the service plan you subscribe to from your carrier (mobilink, according to your profile here). To use the proprietary BB services (including Push email capability, BBM, etc.), you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a Push-email enabled BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), your BB-proprietary services will function (e.g., you will have Personal/Internet Email added to the email setup wizard, your BBM will function, etc).
With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans, it's impossible to tell you specifically what any service plan might actually provide. Only the carriers can answer that question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you desire, and then talk to your carrier about obtaining (from them) a data plan that enables what you desire.
