I recently bought a BB Torch 9810 and am new to BB as this is my first BB. I have a BB ID and have done the BIS thing. However, when I try to download some apps I get the following message:
"We cannot connect you to BlackBerry World. Please ensure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again. OK"
The only option is to click "OK "
My phone does connect onto BB World as I have downloaded other apps.
I downloaded "World Clock" trial version which downloaded, installed and worked fine, but when I tried to upgrade to the paid version, then it came up with the above message.
Could someone please help me with this issue. Perhaps I'm BB challenged or something as I am new to BB.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
2) Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Excellent! But it's a pity you don't have that full error code...looking such things up is of course much more possible when full and complete details are available.
Whenever things go wonky in AppWorld, you also can try to clear the AppWorld application cache.
