Problem forwarding attachments of any kind

I have been using BB for 2 years but have recently developed an inability to forward any attachments or photographs in my emails.

Interestingly I can still send pictures via bbm.

I am on a BES server but also use a yahoo mail account, neither will send attachments or pictures.

I do not think I have changed any settings .

BlackBerry Curve 8520, V4.6.1.272 (platform 4.2.0.118)

Please help me if you can

Re: Problem forwarding attachments of any kind

The first thing to do, always, on a BlackBerry is to reboot the device: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Now, try forwarding an email with an attachment.

What error do you see?

Re: Problem forwarding attachments of any kind

Hi,

I performed hard reset as requested.  I then forwarded an email with a small excel spreadsheet attached.

The email was delivered without the attachment again, there are no error messages to report.

Re forwarding photographs via email

When I have selected picture and go to options - 'send as email' it takes a while but I simply get a red X next to the mail.
