Problem in Brazil

Hi

I've bought my phone in London but I haven't been able to connect to the internet in Brazil. I've been informed by the network and Blackberry assistance that I'm unable to use internet here.

Someone can help?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

There are a few problems with your request...so start here please:

Given that you've already spoken to someone with more access and authority than anyone here has, I'm not at all sure what we can help you with.

Further, there is a lot of information necessary to even understand your situation. For example:

  1. Are you using an unlocked BB with a local SIM?
  2. Are you using your home network plan, but with an International Roaming bolt-on?
  3. Do voice services (voice calls, voice mail, SMS) all work fine?
  4. Is your BB natively supported on the carrier network that you want to use there?
  5. Is that carrier a BB-supporting one?

There likely are a lot more questions...so we'll start there...that is, of course, if you wish to continue here in these user-to-user forums, which have absolutely no authority to change anything for you...all we can do is try to guide you to do things that may or may not help, but we can't actually "do" anything at all.

Good luck and let us know!
