I reside in Guyana South America and I purchase a used Blackberry Bold 4 from UK. The service provider here is Digcel. I have BBM service internet service in my old Blackberry Curve, I took the sim out and installed into the Bold 4 and set it up and it worked. When the monthly plan expired and I paid to renew for the next month. I got this message: Can not activate the selected plan. IMEI of your device is already registered to another subscriber. So I then took the sim out and installed it in my old Blackberry and register from that phone and then took it out of that phone and install back into the Bold 4 and then it worked. What do I need to do to solve this issue?

Best bet is to give the carrier a call and explain this. You've done some good troubleshooting but only the carrier can fix this.

Wolf359, I called Digicel Guyana and they told me. I have to contact the the previous owner of the phone and have him go to his last known service provider/carrier that he had with the phone and cancel the plan or I can wait till there plan expire. Then they will be able to do something then. I really dont get what they are trying to tell me. I will try going into the Digicel office and see what they say. I will let you know. Thanks.

Wolf359, digicel Guyana said. They cannot do anything from Guyana. I have to contact the previous owner and have him go to his carrier in UK or Florida. Where he had the phone hooked up last with(Orange) in Florida and have the IMEI number and phone number released or cancel the contract. Is this correct? Thanks in advance and regards.
