I had purchased Blackberry 8520
To my surprise, since last 4-5 months it has started behaving abnormally. I am writing this after taking all pain to resolve this.
It would have errors both in hardware and the software.
The voice is not at all clear and audible when contacted service centre at Prahladnagar Ahmedabad, they have asked me to submit instrument for 7 days as it would go for the repair. Now why should it go for the repair when there was no damage and voice is not clear. Also battery life is highly pathetic as it do not last even half day when my use is only few minutes per hour.
Also it has problem and after several messages in the message folder from more than 10 contacts message folder will not open until you restart. This remain even when all the messages are deleted. Have visited all blogs and did what is required, but all in the vein.
Kindly guide me for the solution on the same on the immediate basis as it is not possible to submitt phone for more than 7 days just to fix us issues inbuit in the hardware.
First -- please understand that this site is a user-to-user community...it is not a channel for any formal communications with nor escalations to RIM. As such, if your desire is to receive truly formal support, you must stay in your contractually required channel (the service center), escalating with them as necessary...they can escalate into RIM if necessary, but end users have no method to bypass their contract and seek help direct from RIM.
Further, if as you say, you have both hardware and software errors, then I recommend you abandon any work on the software issues until the hardware issues are first resolved. Trying to resolve software issues while hardware issues present is a great waste of your time as the hardware issues could always be causing other things to appear as software issues.
From what you describe, you have many issues, many of which may be resolvable with an OS reload...but, again, if you do, as you say, have hardware issues, then attempting to resolve anything else is pointless.
