Problem with setting up a BlackberryID

Hello,

 

I just bought a Blackberry Bold 9900 today.

I have a problem setting up a BlackberryID. I registered on the internet and received a confirmation mail. But when I try to log in on the phone it says that either my email address or password is not valid.

How can I fix this?

I also have a problem configuring the email... It says it cannot access to the system.

Please check your Manage Connections screen > Services Status.

What is the status of the "BlackBerry Internet Service"?

Where did you receive the confirmation email of the BlackBerryID sign up, on your device or your PC?

 

If the BIS is not connected, it could mean either you have not subscribed to a BIS plan from your mobile provider, or that your BIS data plan is not yet provisioned to your BlackBerry. Do you know if you have a Blackberry BIS data plan subscribed on your Bouygues mobile provider?

I received the confirmation mail on my PC.

I'm subscribed to the data plan. Maybe it is not yet provisioned to my Blackberry as you say, because I just bought it a few hours ago. Does it usually take time?

Then that is very likely the problem, it usually occurs within a few hours, but many carriers will tell you that it might take up to 24 hours.

If in a few hours you notice no difference, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

 

Then, additional things you might try:

 

1) Register HRT:     (OS5) Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scoll to any line entry and > press the Menu key  > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced... etc.

2) Resend Service Books:   KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service

 

and if all fails, call your provider and again.

What is the error you see or why won't it let you?
