Last week my Blackberry suddenly decided to die on me; the screen is totally black all the time (I read on a lot of forums that this is a well known problem for Torches). It functions perfectly well for the rest, the keypad lights up and it responds when it receives a message. The problem now is; I've got to get this repaired but first I need al my info from it on my computer. When I link it with the Blackberry cable, it doesn't open and because the screen is black, I do not exactly know which button to push. I also want to have (very important) my memo's and my pictures, which are the most important. How can I get this from my Blackberry to my computer? Complicated problem. . .

Thanks in advance

Re: Problem

You shouldn't have to do anything. If it's still really working then you should be able to connect to it with BlackBerry Desktop Software and make a backup. have you tried that?

Re: Problem

It may be prompting for the device password if its on there.  I recommend that you take it to the carrier if you can't get past the backup stage.
