Problems with App World and some apps

Can someone help me?  For some reason, my BB Pearl 9105 has gone really slow, and the App World does not load, giving the error message "We cannot connect you to BB App World.  Please ensure that your device is connected to the wireless network and try again."  One of my apps which used to work (What's App) now gives the message "Unexpected error: net.rim.device.cldc.io.ippp.SocketBase IOException: could not connect to r.whatsapp.net:443"

App world connects when I'm on my home wifi network.  All other functions of my phone are working, including internet browsing on just the mobile  network.  Can someone help?

Thanks!

Re: Problems with App World and some apps

Hello bbuserdoc

Welcome to the Community

Please check your Data Coverage Indicator is it shows GPRS, EDGE or 3G. 3G provides the fastest mobile data connection among the three. I think the problem lies with the phone's inability to have a strong data coverage.
