Profiles?

My wife and I both have new BB Curves.  Please tell me how the Profiles are set up and work?  What would I use them for and why?  What are the benefits of different profiles? Thanks!  PeteRizz

Re: Profiles?

Go to Profiles -> scroll down to Advanced -> highlight the active profile and click menu button and select Edit -> select your Calender(or any desired application) and hit the trackball -> Out of holster: Tone, Tune: Select your preferred one, Volume: select high/medium/low. Hit the Menu button and Save the changes.

Different profiles  are used for different purpose or based on individual needs. For example, If I'm at office i need my phone to ring at low tone and while I'm at home it should go loud because I may be in different room.
