Putting music on my blackberry curve 8310

So I bought a used blackberry curve 8310 off of ebay a couple months ago but never changed any information that the previous owner had on here other than my name and such. on the blackberry desktop manager it still has his information how can i update my phone to put music on it without losing all my contacts and information i already put on here? if that makes sense

Do you have a MicroSD Card, the 8310 supports up to 4GB. You do not need to update your phone to play music, you could transfer any music that you already have to your device.

For some odd reason microSD cards just do not fit in my phone, i have sim card is that okay? or no?

I mean like it'll go in but the thing wont lock it its like too big to lock in there

Actually i just got it to lock it in there, i tried to test it using the video camera but it said something about needing to have a formated media card what does that mean?

The SIM card is located under the battery, you'll see a metal locking slider. The memory card is not the same as the SIM card. Make sure you line up the contacts on the same sides. Close the metal guide, and slide it back into place.
