I have only had this phone for 2 months and already it will not charge. I have has it plugged in for 7 hours and it still says its dead. A new battery is 40 dollars so i would rather find a fix than find out its a problem with the device not the battery. Please help

Are you connected to the OEM wall outlet charger?
Try this, while still connected to the wall outlet charger, PRESS and HOLD both the up and down volume keys at the same time for about 20 seconds (ignore the intial screen shot message and keep holding), to allow the device to reboot. Keep it connected to the charger. Do you notice the small charging symbol over the battery icon?
If not, now unplug and quickly replug the charging cable to the Q10.
