Quick Pull Free Error

Hey,

I have the newest version of Quick Pull Free for my Storm, but it no longer works to reset my phone. For a while I was getting this error: “!Uncaught exception: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException”

I fixed it by doing this:

"Try this:

Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications

Highlight the Email Setup Application

BBKey > Edit Default Permissions > Change all to Allow

QP should now function."

That got rid of the error message, but Quick Pull isn't working still. It just stays on the screen that says, "Your device is going to REBOOT in 5 seconds. Press ESCAPE to cancel." And then it doesn't reboot. The storm isn't getting frozen because I can escape no problem...

Any suggestions?

Re: Quick Pull Free Error

I am assuming you upgraded (or if you bought the phone recently) it has version 5.0.0.xxx firmware on it.  IF that is the case then quick pull is not compatible, as far as I know, with version 5.

Re: Quick Pull Free Error

I Removed Quickpull Because after the 5.0 upgrade it Never Operated Right.

I contacted the Developer He sent Instructions Bu It Still did Not work.

I had the Quickpull Pro That did Not Work either

Re: Quick Pull Free Error

FYI to all -- when last I checked (a few days ago), Steelthorne (the developer) is still in Beta concerning compatibility with BB OS 5.0. They have recently released Beta2 which seems to work for folks who are not on BES.
