Quick Pull or Manual Battery Pull?

Hi all,

 

Just wondering what's best to reset a blackberry. Using Quick Pull app or a manual battery pull? I do a reset before I use social networking apps such as facebook and twitter so the connection would be fast. Slow connection problems are known to my carrier (Globe). Does updating service books will do the trick too?

You've got quite a few different things all mixed up in that short post...let me see if I can parse it correctly...

"Best" is a bit of a judgment. QP does a fine job of simulating a true battery pull, but it definitely is not a full battery pull. So, depending on the circumstance, "best" might be either one. In general, I find that QP is fine most of the time...say 90% of the time, I'd guess.

Well, that shouldn't be necessary, especially on such a new device...but I can't tell what's going on with that limited information. What OS level are you running?

Do what trick? The same as a reboot? No...not at all.

My OS is 6 version 666. It is the latest.

 

What I mean with service books is that the connection would be fast once it has been updated?

If the root cause of the problem is a corrupt Service Book, then yes this could help. But if the root of the problem is something else, then this would make no difference.

How will I know if the service book is corrrupt?

You can safety delete all Service book. After you delete it run a quick pull/Battery pull.

 

About your signal, what actually see in your signal, It is 3G with BB logo, EDGE or GPRS? If your signal is in GPRS you will suffer slow connection.

I suffer slow connection even in 3G signal. That's why I refresh the connection by re-registering through the host routing table then do a quick pull afterwards. It kinda helps though. If you know other network connection troubleshoot tips, I'd gladly hear it.
