Random Reboots

I've been having issues with my BB Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647), randomly shutting down.  When I finally get it to turn back on, it reboots.

I've tried working with AT&T tech support for a solution, but nothing we've tried has worked long term, and it's very frustrating!

I've tried:

  • soft resets (taking out the battery while phone is off)
  • hard resets (taking out the battery while phone is on)
  • master reboots (wipping phone clean of all data and software, then re-installing software)

I have very limited media/apps on my phone, yet, this issues keeps occuring.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks!

Re: Random Reboots

You need to consider reinstalling/updating device OS. To do so check the below KB article -

KB11320  How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows

Re: Random Reboots

At the time of starting of new Reboot cycle keep pressing the escape/return key. By the end of rebooting phone will start in safe mode. Connect it to ur PC and delete the last download programs......the phone will update and reboot again itself to the normal mode after finishing the deleting process. It works 99% sure unless u have any other fault.
