Don't know if you've solved your problem yet but it sounds like one I had recently. What I did was to add the email address again through the setup application. Once I entered the email address and the password there it validated this "new" address. I then simply deleted the original account. This solved my problem, hope it helps you as well

got the same problem but i think its the website thats down ? but ive been trying for 3 days and always get the same messege when you click on the email verifaction link in the email blackberry send you . that is as follwows:
Site Map: Confirmation of BlackBerry ID Email Address Temporarily Unavailable
The creation or modification of your BlackBerry ID account was successful and you may use it to access BlackBerry services like App World.
The confirmation of your email address is temporarily unavailable. We are working to re-enable this feature and apologize for any inconvenience.
