Every time I schedule any appointment that is recurring, it moves either a day forward or a day backward. Any idea as to why? The time/date are correct, I have added a memory card to the phone to increase performance, I have done battery pulls, full powering off and on, and nothing is working.
Can anyone assist?

This has resolved calendar problems similar to yours:
Use the following procedure to clean your device calendar:
Check the following:
Gmail calendar has the same start and end of week.
Make sure the time zones on the Gmail calendar and your device are the same.
Check the calendar you use is specified as the default on your device. (Base calendar and calendar for your email address.)

I don't have the Intellisync icon in my desktop manager. I went in and cleared the calendar but I can't use the Intellisync, PIM step you mentioned.

For intellisync use the synchronization configuration option. The article is old.
Just reconfigure your normal sync options to retry,
