Re: Red X Shown On Battery [SOLVED]

I was having this problem and thought that it was a problem with the battery being dead. But this was actually a brand new battery, I had just replaced my old battery cause it was not charging anymore.

Anyway I saw a comment on http://www.askmefast.com/What_does_this__battery_symbol_mean_on_my_blackberry-qna57182.html and it said to take out the battery and wipe it.. I wipe the contacts on the battery with an old tooth brush (make sure its dry) and placed the battery in and it works again. No problems!

Hope this helps someone, it did work for me!

Re: Red X Shown On Battery

If a red cross is shown on your bb that could be cause of the battery, if not the battery then you will have to get the gold thing inside your phone changed which would cost 10-15 pounds. Do it from phone shops that will only charge if they fix ur phone. Finally if that does not seem to solve the problem then there must be something wrong with the phone which can not be fixed like the cpu. so best option therefore would be to recycle your phone to mazuma and get some money for it. Let me know if this was helpful.

Re: Red X Shown On Battery

I found nothing on this thread in anyway useful. i did however conduct my own experiments to get it working.

I found out there was literally no power in the battery at all ( by licking it Smiley Tongue ).
Then by knowing that i decided to put some power in the battery itself... simply using a power pack consisting of 2 AA batteries with positive (+) to positive. and negative ( - )  taped to each other.

i then left it for about... 30 minutes and then licked the battery again and it had abit of charge to it...
so i plugged it back into the blackberry and then placed the usb in it and it is now currently working now...

If you need any help just message me.

Aron.

Great, can you please use your superiority and licking to check my 220v outlet?

Re: Red X Shown On Battery

Hey I got a SOLUTION. This may sounds crazy but it works for most people.. just drop your phone on a hard carpet or hard surface  for several time or knock it on hard things until it restarts or you can do battery pull.. Make sure you dont put a force when dropping it. HOPE this helps
