Reset my blackberry ID

I am technologically challenged.  I received a BB that was used by someone before me.  I have a different sim card to the previous owner.  I want to change the Black Berry ID.  When I try to sign in to run my updates, it gives me an option to verify the account but not to Reset or change it.  I’ve gone into options > (then it says to look for “device”) and change the ID there but there is no ID options under “device”.  Please help me!!!

If it is a Used device then you must have to wipe that device, then it will allow you to associate your BlackBerry ID on that device, But do a backup of your device before performing this step. for further help please refer to this Knowledge Base :
