Re: Reset to factory settings?

According to the OS release loaded to your device it can be different methods.

If you have OS 4.3 or greater (Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.4.xxx") you can use JL_Cmder and its "Reset to Factory" command.

Follow the instructions here:
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F

If you have OS 4.2, there is not an easy way... you can wipe personal settings, calendar, preferences, messages, etc., from the device go to Options > Security > General Settings > Menu > Wipe Handheld.

This last method won't reset the device to factor settings, but it will be adequate.
