Restore Problem - Phone Call Logs

Hi,

 

i have a problem with a BlackBerry Bold 9700.  I created a backup with desktop software (version 6 2010 B21).

 

The device was removed and added to a new BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

 

After the activation, I can not recover the "Phone Call Logs" :-(.

 

Is it possible to restore the Phone Call Logs?

If it didn't restore with the back up, Then I'm sorry but not that I know of.

the call logs should not have been deleted during an activation

 

Did you have to wipe the device before putting onto the new BES server?

I have the same problem.

 

I created a backup of a users blackberry.

 

Wiped the black and reconnected to our BES server.

 

Now the user wants the call log back, but that item is grayed out in the backup.

 

I did just try a select backup, maybe if i do a complete backup everything will come back. . . .

Once the device is activated against the BES you can't restore content that is "managed" by the BES. This is anything that is greyed out.

The only way that I know of to fix this is to do the restore of the call log before activating the device on the BES. This would be the case for any greyed out items.

 

Edit: I should add that you can still do this after the device has been activated on the BES, but it will require you to wipe the device, then perform a selective restore of the phone logs and anything else you were missing, before activating on the BES again. I'd suggest you talk to your BES administrator first, since he or she will need to be involved in the re-activation process.
