I recently noticed that I can't find old text messages (older then one month) on my blackberry phone. I haven't deleted them but they seem to automatically archive, is there any way to turn this off, or alternatively find these messages somewhere?
I got a blackberry bold 9700

If you don't find them in the device and you don't keep a back up of your device data then they can't be recovered! If a BlackBerry device faces memory constraints then it erases old messages. Another think could be your messages options is set such as that deletes messages older then 1 month. To check that go to Message -> Options -> General Options.

If you delete some text message and want to recover text messages SIM Card Seizure is an easy to use device that recovers both deleted and current private text messages as well as other confedential information held on cell phones. It used as a reliable back-up tool in case you accidently delete that important message or new contact.

I did not realise that my Blackberry was set to automatically delete text messages after a period of time, and therefore did not take action to see that they were kept. There were messages sent to my phone back in March of this year that I now need urgently. You mention a device or option to retrieve those messages - can you please tell me what I need to do.
