I just got my phone today and it looks like the only way to change the ringer volume is to go through a series of 6 steps (according to the user guide).
Change the default volume for calls
You can increase or decrease the default volume for calls. The higher the volume percentage, the louder the volume.1. In the phone, press the Menu key.
2. Click Options.3. ClickGeneral Options.
4. Change the Default Call Volume field.5. Press theMenu key.
6. Click Save.
Has anyone found a quicker way? I don't want to have to go through these steps everytime I enter and exit a meeting not to mention the hazards involved if I need to adjust the volume while I'm driving.
I would appreciate any help available.

Once you set the default options, the easiest way is to go to the main menu, use the trackball to go to the top right and highlight the speaker, click on it and choose which setting you want (ie loud, quiet, phone only, etc.)
This is the quickest way that I have found.
Hope this helps.
