I have been using Blackberries for almost 2 years, worked for a while with Vodafone's Technical Support teams for Blackberries and never encountered this!
All of a sudden, I cannot access the menu under profiles to change my ringing tone or message alerts for ANY profile.
I can only access Sound through Options and am only able to change the settings for the ringing tone, no messages or other notifications.
I updated the software
I wiped the device and restored my content
I wiped the device WITHOUT restoring m content
All the above failed me.
If anyone has a proposed idea or ever saw that, please do let me know!
I hope I will get to read your post on time with having to "guess" if there's a new message haha!

Do you have an application called Nimbuzz installed on your BlackBerry smartphone? If so try removing it and testing again.
